Pressure Vessel Fabricator acquires ASME PP, R & S Stamps
European Heathyards, one of the UK’s foremost specialist Pressure Vessel Fabricators, has been awarded a further 3 ASME stamps from the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The West Midlands based pressure vessel fabricator is anticipating turnover to grow from both new and existing customers as a result of channeling its manufacturing processes through the stringent technical standards ASME demands.
ASME Section 8, Division 1, describes the designation for pressure vessels and mandates that large vessels receive the U stamp and miniature vessel receive the UM stamp. The addition of any ASME Certificate of Authorization would require another ASME Joint Review with the exception of an S Stamp Holder applying for an A or PP certificate, or a U or S Stamp Holder applying for an ASME UM Certificate of Authorization. The award of ASME R, S & PP stamps in accordance with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes of practice (BPVC), will compliment the existing ASME U Stamp recognition European Heathyards has held since 2013.
During this time the UK based pressure vessel fabricator has successfully manufactured twenty four ASME U Stamp pressure vessels for a global customer base that incorporates Australia, Russia and the USA.

By achieving ASME R, S & PP European Heathyards are now authorised to carry out repairs to previously coded ASME pressure vessels, boilers, superheaters, piping and power piping in accordance with BPVC.
